Free West Papua Campaign-PNG Coordinator, Mr Fred Mambrasar

Port Moresby - Free West Papua Campaign-PNG Coordinator, Mr Fred Mambrasar rallies Melanesian solidarity for West Papua as he gives an impassioned speech to the thousands of people gathered at the Melanesian Festival of Arts & Culture in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea this month.

For the first time, West Papuans were allowed to participate in this festival but under the watch of Indonesian officials and under the flag of Indonesia.

Papuan students told the PNG media of how the West Papuans participating in the festival were made to wear Asian and Western clothes and makeup to cover their true Melanesian identity.

We made sure to be present at the festival and as well as meeting with Melanesian Leaders including Heads of State; the Free West Papua Campaign also visited and gathered support from the different areas of the festival representing the different Melanesian countries.

Support for a Free West Papua from PNG and the rest of Melanesia has never been so strong. I believe that, without your support we never free. The in fact that, West Papua is part of the Melanesian as well asWest Papua issues is a Melanesian issues, therefore only our own brothers and sisters would be more understood our cries for freedom.

We need united voices to against Indonesia brutality over West Papua for 51 years who is living under Indonesia illegal occupation. We need your help.
