The
Indonesian president's visit is seen by many Papuans as illegitimate,
as issues of political freedoms and human rights are again not being
discussed, in favour of a military backed development agenda.
The
30 peaceful rights activists were rounded up in a speedy operation by
police, and whisked off to Police Headquarters in Jayapura for further
interrogation, acoording to WestPapuaMedia stringers.
More information as it becomes available.
